There are a number of ways you can make a gift to The American Friends:

Every time you make a gift to The American Friends, we will send a notification of this gift to the University (including the amount) so they can thank you for your generosity. The American Friends will disburse the full amount of its grants (made up of individual gifts received for the University) to the University on a quarterly basis.

To make a gift, please send a check made payable to “The American Friends of the University of Leicester Inc” along with an accompanying letter or donation form with your details and identifying the University of Leicester as the recipient, to the address below:

Donations can also be made online via Network for Good, an independent foundation that manages the American Friends’ online credit card giving. You can set a one-time or recurring credit card donation.

Please note – Network for Good will deduct a percentage from your donation for processing, or you can opt to cover this in your donation. It takes a minimum of four weeks for Network for Good to forward your donation to the American Friends.
Checks mailed directly to the American Friends at the New York office do not incur a service charge and are processed sooner.
Giver preferences are respected by the American Friends of the University of Leicester organisation, however all grants are made at its sole discretion, as required by the IRS.
In compliance with IRS regulations, the Board of Directors of The American Friends of the University of Leicester, Inc maintains complete discretion over allocation of the gifts it receives. Gifts qualify for an income tax deduction to the full extent allowed by law.
